California Achievement Test 2004How did your school do on the statewide tests?Purpose of the test: The CAT tests students in second through 11th grades in reading, language and math. In addition, students in second through eighth grades take a spelling test while high school students are tested in science. The chart below shows the percentage of students at each school who have scored at the national average or above. The California Achievement Test is one factor in the Academic Performance Index, which ranks schools on a scale of 200 to 1,000 with 800 being the goal. Grades two through eight were tested on spelling; grades nine through eleven were tested on science.
